Guarantee a future for the sport of ice figure skating, whose management will become increasingly unsustainable in the Northern part of the world
Our project properties
SIR will not really be a "white elephant". The capacity of the passive public in the stands counts 500 people. What is important is the
fact that the ice rink will measure m. 30 x 60, as required by the
International Skating Union (ISU). The localization of the SIR
prototype is planned in Lagos City.
SIR will work thanks to clean, inexhaustible (unlike fossil fuels) and
free energy: that of the Sun. It floods the sub-Saharan region of
Africa for most of the year.
SIR Nigeria Project goes beyond building the facility. SESWo has been working for some time to facilitate "Ice Figure Skating
Federation of Nigeria - IFSFN" in obtaining: a) accreditations from
international figure skating sport institutions; b) the technical
collaboration of high profile ice figure skating centers.
Stay up to date on our advances
In Abuja the SESWo representative for Africa, Mr. Alfie Mario Nze, together with some people forms the cultural association "Solar Ice Skating Association of Nigeria - SISAN"; to spread the pioneering project
SESWo introduces the project via video conference to the officials of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development (Chinedu Joyce Ezealah, Maria Wophill, Thecla Opara, Rachael Samuel and Sagaya A.O)
Thanks to the SESWo - SISAN synergy, two experiences start: a) the establishment of the "Ice Figure Skating Federation of Nigeria - IFSFN"; b) the presentation of the application for provisional recognition of IFSFN by the Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC)
